Merry Christmas from Thailand
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
We want to thank each of you for your sacrificial Christmas cards and gifts to our family and for Ruth’s birthday cards!
October was the 3rd month for the 12 Question Campaign at the New Life Baptist Church and the question of the month was do we know that the Bible is the Word of God? Since the church started this campaign several people have sent in the response cards and 2 women have came to church because of this. Please continue to pray for the Thai people that are receiving these each month that the barriers for them to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour will be removed.
Before we arrived in Thailand one of our plans has been to learn from and be apart of different churches while we are in language school. Since we have been apart of the New Life Baptist Church for almost a year we recently started helping Pastor Srithone Kongkaw at both the churches he is pastoring which are the Wiengping Baptist Church in Chiang Mai and the Lanna Baptist Church in Lampang. This is helping us with our language skills and is opening up more ministry opportunities.
In October the Lanna Baptist Church celebrated their 10th anniversary and last month Pastor Srithone baptized 2 young men named Khun Boy and Khun Boat. At the Wiengping Baptist Church several people have professed Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Please pray as they grow in their new life with Jesus Christ. The Wiengping Baptist Church is currently building their first church building please pray that God will continue to supply the funds for the completion of the building.
Recently we were able to get our neighbor named Khun At to start going to the Wiengping Baptist Church with us. Khun At has been going with us for the past 3 weeks and please pray as we witness to her and for her salvation. Pastor Srithone is giving me the opportunity to give my testimony in Thai please pray as I am working on translating it into Thai and preparing to give it in a few weeks.
This month we have applied to renew our student visa and should be receiving it in January which should give us the student visa until January 2012. We have also applied for our missionary visa and our application has begun the processing stage. Please pray that our student visa will be renewed and that we will have our missionary visa before January 2012.
